Your article was wonderful and congratulations on your success as an Engineer! I am currently in graduate school studying to become an SLP. In our fluency class, we discuss the importance of how the client behaves, thinks, and feels about themselves as a communicator. In other words, therapy goes beyond routine techniques. Throughout your time in therapy, did you feel your clinicians cared about you as a person or were you just any other client? What advice could you give to novice clinicians beginning to work with those who stutter?
