Hi Jamie, You are welcome and I’m glad you enjoyed the paper. Indeed we must listen and shift perspective in order to see the world through the client’s eyes. That – entering and experiencing the world of another person and another family, perhaps very distinct from our own - provides a clinician with an opportunity that is a very special privilege, one I have never taken for granted and have thoroughly treasured for nearly 35 years. You are right; fluency freedom is one’s right. It is our responsibility to see to it that that right is realized and preserved. You are entering the most fascinating of careers. Do your BEST. There is no better lesson for your clients regarding motivation, dreams, and commitment than your own example. Good luck to you as you work hard to do well and to do good. David Shapiro
