Hi Maura, Thank you for your kind words. I agree with you that the relationships we form in the therapeutic process (and in life) are key. Such relationships reflect both the process and product of progress. There is no limit to what we can accomplish when we focus on a common interest and commit to shifting perspective so as to consider alternative points of view, thereby learning and growing together. Stories of inspiration occur every moment. The trick is to be able to see them and to be and to model the change we want to see. You’re about to enter a most fascinating and rewarding career. You will have opportunities to be inspired and to be the inspiration for others. Years ago, Walle (1974) wrote about how much easier it is to become a clinician than to be one.
