Dr. Silverman, I agree with what you are saying about the benefits of mindfulness, and how the practice can help manage and cope with many of life's challenges. It is true that when one talks about their experiences with the practice, often they get strange responses from others. No, practicing this is not easy, and I know because I have attempted it many times, and still have not been able to master it! For some reason, everything else in my life seems more important, and that is my excuse. That is why it is not easy. But I have had periods of feeling calm, relaxed, peaceful, because of a bout with meditation, and even though I know the positive outcomes, I still am not consistent with it! I keep saying, "some day I will have more time!" That is why it is not easy. But, when I am truly ready, I believe I can make it happen. Meanwhile, articles like this will keep me think and heading in the right direction! Thank You
