After working with fluency a small amount in our graduate school clinic, I've come to realize that the things many of us fear in life are the same things PWS fear, but their fear and anxiety may be amplified to the point they might not even be aware that non-stutterers have those same fears, too. Events like first dates, class presentations, job interviews--these are all events that can cause us stress, and your group's efforts at thinking through the best, worst, and most likely outcomes are a good way for anyone to try to diffuse these situations. Aside from these exercises, do the folks in your group do anything else to practice or prepare for events they know will be anxiety-inducing, such as upcoming job interviews? Thanks!
