Dear Matt, Thanks for your comment. Yes, it is often a revelation to the stutterers in our group that the nonstuttering visitors may have even more anxiety or angst about various speaking activities than they do. And, as you point out, it is often a surprise to the visitors that those who stutter really have many of their same fears. Have we tried to prepare for other anxiety-provoking events? Yes. Absolutely! In fact, over about a dozen years I have lesson plans for hundreds of different activities. If you click on the link for the earlier ISAD paper, you'll see a few of them. Or, the session we presented at the July NSA Convention which is available on video, shows another one. If I had the time, I would write a book with all the good activities we've done. It's great fun, and--as I tell everyone--the highlight of my week. Ken
