This is such a great article and topic and I agree with all of the reasons parents are not involved. I have been able to put a parent education goal on the students goals, and most of them are all willing to read articles, go to websites, listen to podcasts and attend Friends meetings. They do need encouragement...I wonder what else can be done to draw them in?
