Julie, I agree that the task is difficult. With kid's and parent's schedules these days, it is hard to find a time when everyone can make it. Just last month, four teens were lined up to come to our NSA teen group. The day of and the day before the group, each family called or e-mailed with a legitimate reason as to why they would not be attending. Soccer games, birthday parties, heavy homework loads, and other legitimate concerns hamper attendance at these groups, but we have to stay with it. What we are now doing is a) trying to make it exciting for the teens so that they make it a priority (free good food, but making the content good and fun), and b) supplementing the teen group with a parent group. We have let the parents know that we want them to come even if their teens can not attend. Thanks for the comments, John T.
