I enjoyed reading this article! I have a cousin who stutters and it seemed to be worse during his teen years. He became the most uncomfortable around his close friends and family because they always tried to correct him. I have read that there are many therapists who tell parents to remind their child to use their stuttering therapy techniques in all settings. Since this is the time where the impact of stuttering may potentially be the greatest,in your opinion, should this still be done when the child is in their teenage years where teens become more independent? If so, should parents do this in certain settings only (such as home, around family and close friends), or should they facilitate it in all social settings?
