I found it interesting the amount of children who were denied speech pathology. Do you think that by the schools not recognizing it is a problem that needs to be addressed the students grow into being these teenagers with minimal parental support; If the schools don't believe their students stutter to be a problem then the parent would also over look it? It was surprising to read how different the parents and teenagers view the affects of stuttering on teenagers and the parents are misjudging the amount their child is being bullied. What do you believe to be the best way to minimize that gap and to make the parents more involved? I know that teenage years can be difficult with teenagers pulling away from their family however, it is evident that is a time when they are needed the most. Do you suggest a parental support group as maybe the parents do not know how to support and help their teenagers?
