Your survey shows that teens who stutter and their parents believe that stuttering very often impacts their school performance. I am currently a graduate student, and my clinical practicum site is in a school. I work on language and articulation with several children and adolescents who stutter, but they have no fluency goals because the school does not believe it negatively affects their school performance. What are the steps that someone might go through to show that stuttering DOES affect their performance, along with the other impairments?
