Thank you for your posting your research and results. I found your work very interesting.Your study suggests large differences between the teens and the parents’ perception of impact of stuttering. One alarming difference was that 91.2% of teens say stuttering impacts their school performance some or a lot and only 74.6% of parents felt the same. Also important to note were the statistics about parental involvement. Based on your statistics, it seems as though strategies practiced in therapy are not always being extended to the more natural home environment. I am interested in learning about the effects of parental involvement on therapeutic outcomes, so I agree with you that there should be more extensive research on this in the future.
