Hi, I am a graduate student and I am a part of a team of clinicians that provide group therapy to 3 school age boys. We include a parent support/counseling group as a part of the treatment program. I find your research very useful and intriguing, and am considering sharing some of your findings with the group during one of our sessions. The parents in the group seem very interested in finding the "best" way to modify their home speaking environment and to provide support. In your experience, have you discovered an effective and feasible "starting place" for facilitating change and support at home? Such as slowing rate of speech input or even just openly discussing stuttering to facilitate acceptance?
