Thank you for your response to my inquiry, Dr. Tetnowski. I am assuming that parents may feel their child's stuttering is temporary or perhaps an "easy fix." Can you tell me or advise me please, how, as a clinician, can we "tactfully" tell a parent to become involved? I realize we can stress that it would be extremely helpful in the progress of their child's therapy, but do we have any research-based data to prove that? Other than the previous tact to parents, what advice can you please offer to those of us new to this field? Thank you again, Lori R-B
