Thank you so much for sharing your experiences! It sounds as though you have had a challenging, but rewarding college experience thus far. I am so impressed that you decided that communication and not fluency would be your goal. That takes so much courage! You stated that after winter break you noticed that your confidence was improving. What helped you feel more confident?
