Dear Julie, As I already mentioned in my previous responses, the therapists only catered to the 'visible' aspect of the problem. That is, the blocks and the repetitions in the words, which is just the tip of the iceberg. The bigger problem is in the mind- the attitude, the guilt, the shame and other cognitive aspects, which needs to be catered to. I wish the Speech Therapists in India focus on changing the attitudes too, along with the fluency techniques.
