Hi Harish, Thank you for sharing such an enlightening and inspiring paper. I was delighted to read about how the television interview (with a well-known Bollywood star) changed the way in which you viewed your stuttering. Reading about the lives of other PWS can provide an interesting insight into how they deal (or have dealt) with their respective difficulties, as well as offering reciprocal inspiration. It can also alert us to possibilities of which we were previously unaware – in relation to therapies, techniques, approaches and opportunities that allow us to unearth our true potential. In effect, it can open our eyes to possibilities that we could never have imagined. Like you, I too derived immense benefit from adopting a policy of greater openness – it had a hugely desensitizing effect. I was finally being true to myself and those with whom I came into contact. Enlisting the support of fellow PWS also proved to be an important factor. We also have something else in common. We both came to understand that assertive self-acceptance does not preclude us (if we so wish) from making every effort to deal with our communication difficulties. Harish, I wish you continued success in life as you tread the paths of your choice. Kindest regards Alan
