What a great paper, and so happy to see you contributing, as you have so much to share. I was delighted to see the title, as I too have started riding a bike again after many years. It was scary at first, especially after I took a really hard fall and hit my head. I had to go to the hospital and get stitches, a tetanus shot, had a black eye and my leg was messed up for over a month. But I got back on the bike, and am really enjoying it. Especially when I build up speed and just coast - and feel the wind on my face. It does feel so freeing. Just like you describe in your great piece. Stuttering is so complex - produces all those feelings we hate, especially shame. But stuttering also produces freedom. When I just stutter and let it be, that is freedom. You my friend are on the cusp of a brilliant breakthrough - soon you will be sharing that shame is no longer an issue, in any stuttering situation. Thanks for a great, well written article, and a reminder to me why I bought this bike and to be sure to get out and use it as much as I can before the weather turns. ~Pam
