Hi Stephanie Thank you for reading my story and for wanting to discover stuttering from the inside. This will make you a very good speech therapist in time. The therapist who has the humility and wisdom to understand that stuttering is not just a speech issue, and those who are willing to understand it from all angles will really help stutterers in the future. Simply counting the number of syllables stuttered, and fixing broken speech is not really what ultimately helps many pws. Helping to heal broken souls is what it's really about. I hope you can get to attend a conference like the NSA or Friends, or another such conference in another country. Meeting other pws and hearing their stories is probably some of the most valuable learning you will do. Good luck in your studies and career.
