Lisette, this was an amazing article. I wanted to post and after reading Pam's comment I decided to tag onto her's. Pam, I really liked the continued analogy of feeling uncomfortable and riding your bike, falling, and taking the risk of getting back on and feeling free. That is an awesome analogy! Lisette, in your article you said in the past, "people were no longer ashamed of me because I didn't stutter anymore." Isn't it interesting the displacement of feelings. With soul-searching and involving yourself you found you needed to get to the root of your own shame. What an amazing turn-around. Your endurance is inspiring. By taking these risks and allowing yourself to stutter you are finding freedom and actually living your life.
