HapRitchard Thanks so much. I genuintely don't think there were any good treatment options available when I was very young. My parents did seek professional advice from the speech therapist and were told I would grow out of it, that it wasn't really stuttering. This was the standard advice often given then. And yes, I have heard of those approaches and probably a mixture of avoidance reduction and stuttering modification work has helped me more than fluency shaping. Good luck in your studies.
