Dear Anelise, many thanks for all your answers and your patience. Can I once again impose on you? I am interested in the larynx as I feel that it may contain the cause of stuttering. However, this is usually countered by the argument that PWSs still stutter even when their larynxes are removed due to eg. cancer and replaced by an artificial larynx. Do you perhaps have any ideas on why this may be so? Is stuttering with an artificial larynx "real" stuttering, or is it something else? Or were the findings regarding artificial larynx stuttering flawed? And does this "stuttering" with an artificial larynx point toward stuttering rather being the result of a brain-based organic disorder instead of being engendered by laryngeal malfunction? Thank you very much.
