Great piece! Loved the Q&A format! I've never considered stuttering to be a disability, but that's only for myself. My view is that it depends on people's individual experiences. For me personally, despite occasional struggles and moments of avoidance, my stuttering hasn't really gotten in the way of work, life, etc. in the general sense. However, in Canada, stuttering is defined as a disability under the Canadian Charter and PWS are eligible to apply for disability tax credits. On the other hand, it never occurred me that much before reading the piece on how much we can learn from the disability community, especially in terms of fighting for rights, educating the general public and handling discrimination. So, great job!
