I should make clear that the Pennsylvania court did not actually find that the Plaintiff's sturrer was covered by the ADA, but simply that he had presented enough evidence to show that a jury might find that it was. I.e., the court found that the ADA could potentially cover stuttering if the stutter was sufficiently severe. No court has held that the ADA covers stuttering per se. In other words the courts do not view stuttering in the same way that they view blindness or deafness. My research has not found any cases actually holding that the ADA covers stuttering. It would seem that, to be covered, the stutter would have to be very severe.
