I never looked at stuttering as a disability. I have always looked at it as a difference. After the conference I have learned that althought it is not a physical disability it can affect people mentally because they tend to not do some things that they wish to do because they are afraid of rejection. Communication plays an important factor in everyday life weather it's on the job, in the community, or an educational setting to be effective and I am dlad there is a law that protect the people in the stuttering community.
