Wow -- what a great interview. I was very interested in David Steiner's comments as they seem somewhat at odds with the paper Beth B wrote with Steven Kaufman where they both stated that they could get jobs with the federal government once they were able to define stuttering as a "disability." Having recently met some PWS in a support group, and listened to them worrying about job searches, I was wondering if I can wholeheartedly recommend they look into government work. Nobody I know wants to get into a court case, but if there are ways to help PWS's get employment in the government that would seem like a helpful solution. No one wants to be discriminated against, and no one I know really wants to get a job they aren't qualified for, but it would be nice if the playing field was more leveled. Any thoughts on this?
