Thank you for your comments. It is important to point out that any disadvantaged group, be it due to a disability, race, creed or sexual orientation should be proactive in asserting themselves in society. I liked your comments about how advocating for by advocating for yourself, you are also advocating for others who may have an entirely different disability. Challenging the system opens the door for others do so, and opens the eyes of the people around you. I especially liked your final comments about sending the elevator back down. I feel this is something that is often overlooked and forgotten. Regardless of your place in life, you got there on the scaffolding that someone else set up. It is important to remember that it is our responsibility to leave that ladder there so that others may achieve in life as well.
