These are good questions. I think people are uncomfortable with anything that is outside the norm. When i listen to someone with a heavy accent, I have to stop and really listen so I can hear what they are saying. We're so used to rushing through our lives and multitasking, that it's hard to stop and really listen. so I guess the advice I'd give to anyone talking with a PWS is to stop, listen, and give your full attention. I often stutter more if I don't think my audience is paying attention. So active listening, eye contact, and just taking the time is key.
