I'm not a lawyer, but in the workplace, I would recommend talking with the human resources office. They are usually your first line of inquiry. If they aren't helpful, see if there is a civil rights office or a union. If that doesn't help, I'd recommend talking with your regional ADA Center adata - dot - org. There's also the EEOC. I'm sure there are other, more local, organizations that can help as well. If all else fails, consult with a lawyer. In the schools, I'm less knowledgable, but speaking with the disability services or special education office might work, if not the school administration.
