To answer you question, No, I hoped and prayed. I would hold back tears some days. The longer my eldest son stuttered the more I thought about taking him for therapy. My wife asked if we should take him and I kept saying no. I didn't know at the time if we was doing the right thing. You also said your son will stutter when playing alone, so did both my sons. That to me proves there is no shame or fear involved and he will grow out of out it. My friends daughter speech was just like a 1 year old child till she was about 4 and then very basic until at least the ago of 6 she is now a teacher. she went for therapy once a week for months, they swear blind it made no difference at all. Every child is unique and will develop at different rates, wouldn't it be a boring world if we were all the same?
