Hi Carmen, My parents reckon I started stuttering at the age of 5. I can't remember ever being fluent or my childhood early than 6 years old. My 2 started much early. My father told me he his uncle stuttered, but as I never met him I can only take his word. My 2 boys seemed to stop stuttering overnight. I don't think it was a gradual thing. I can remember my wife Rachael looking at each other and saying, he's not stuttering and neither of them made any comment such as, I can talk properly or I'm not getting stuck any longer. It wasn't until they were older that they made any off the cuff reference to stuttering. My email address is rjbpine@btinternet.com or cllr.richard.body@dudley.gov.uk and if you would like to speak to either of us our phone number is 44,1384894003 outside the UK, or 01384484532 from the UK. Kind wishes and I really think a little brother or sister will also be great therapy.
