Hey Kristin, Bri here from Camp Shout Out :] Thank you so much for this post, you're such an inspiration. I did think of one specific question, when you said that your mother got you out of every speaking requirement there ever was, all done out of complete love, I think of a lot of parents who feel this love for their children who stutter and just want to protect them from harm. What are some useful phrases a therapist could use to communicate their understanding of the parent’s desire to protect, while still expressing the risks of speaking for their children?
