Presumably covert stammering is harder to detect than overt stammering. Yet early treatment is recommended. From personal experience a covert stammerer does not find it easy seeking help for something he/she is desperate to hide. Is any work being done to help parents/teachers better recognise covert stammering (no matter how well it is hidden)?
