Dear Jill, Thank you so much for your incredibly interesting and insightful article. I have a question for you: I understand that active listening would be one of the most helpful reactions to have if a PWSC “came out” to me. However, in your opinion, what would be a few of the best verbal responses I can make that would be empowering and encouraging to PWSC? I ask this because I am honestly afraid of unintentionally saying something that could come off as demeaning or patronizing, or that could discourage them from “coming out” to others in their lives. Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you so much!
