Great article! I agree that communities and schools should beef up counseling resources for young adults. In my speech-language pathology graduate program, we are forming a small support group for teens, around ages 13-16, who stutter. Hopefully this group will provide a fun, fruitful safe haven that will help the members realize that they are not alone and that they go through similar struggles and strides at school and at home. Perhaps they can find strength by supporting and relating to each other, as opposed to staying silent "in the closet". What do you believe are other ways that the community can step up and provide assistance to people who stutter?
