Jill, what a great article you have written. I’m currently enrolled in a fluency disorders class, and I didn’t even know that covert stuttering existed until this class. I liked your analogy of “coming out of the closet”. I never knew someone who covertly stutters experiences the same as the gay community. To me, I think hiding your stuttering would be physically and emotionally exhausting. You would always have to watch what you say. Thanks for the information, Jenny Cadwallader
