Hi Jill, I thoroughly enjoyed your article. As I've read through so many of the comments, I was surprised to see how many folks had never heard of covert stuttering; so you've done us a great service in educating them! Several things I especially enjoyed; first and foremost, I've heard many alternative terms for disability, but had not heard 'exceptionality'. This is now my term of choice, as so many of the PWS I know are exceptional. Also, your description of coming out as neither binary nor linear gives a more accurate perspective of an often complex process, and helps us understand why it must be navigated with care. Lastly, I share your hopes that the stigma of stuttering will diminish over time, as has been the case for homosexuality. Keep up the great work! Charley
