Hello, I found your article very interesting and helpful. While reading through your article it became clear that many people who covertly stutter often times focus so much on hiding their stuttering that they miss out on parts of life (friendships, certain job opportunities). When an individual comes out as a person who stutters they can begin to accept and fully live their lives. Then in one section the article talked about the anxiety/negative effects of coming out as a person who stutters. How can we as SLPs make their coming out process as meaningful and least anxiety provoking as possible?
