Sarah, thank you so much for sharing your insightful experience! It seems you should continue to trust your clinical instincts. Great question about this concept being accepted among PWS. Honestly, the concept was first mentioned to me by a PWS. I have since heard the reference frequently among the stuttering population. The only skepticism I have had regarding connecting the closet concept comes from some professionals who may not understand the significance of covert stuttering.
