Hi Charley! Thank you a million times over for your contributions on this thread! Reading your insight and kind words warmed my heart. In regards to the term “exceptionality,” good eye! This is a term that I believe has been adopted in the education system. I appreciate the term, same as you, to give credit for differences rather than suggesting these differences make a person less worthy. Next topic... Thank you for noting the binary delusion. Unfortunately, some have read that portion out of context and believed I was suggesting a person is EITHER fluent or a PWS. That put a little panic in my mind, it is great relief that you stated otherwise and understood the message in context. Phew. Next mention... I find great relief in seeing our society evolve and appreciate sexuality differences, this gives me a glimmer of hope we will continue to appreciate differences among a speaker’s fluency.
