Hi, thank you. It depends where you live in the country and even the world as to how speech therapy is approached for stutterers. Where are you ? At the NSA Convention each year, I do an interactive workshop called "Avoid Avoiding". This is where SLPs and PWS sit together in a large circle and discuss how to do "Avoid Avoiding". It is very well attended and I plan to do it again at NSA 2013 in Scottsdale in July. Also, I gratis consult to school districts, universities, and SLPs upon request. As you said, the approach is different and some people like it and some people don't and I keep persisting. J-J-Judith
