Hi Elizabeth, Probably the best way to prevent bullying is to help a child who stutters be proactive about stuttering. If he is open about his stuttering, talks about it at home and at school, and does not appear embarrassed by it, there is a good chance bullying will not appear. Use of the "Stuttering Survey" by a child beginning at about ages 8 or 9, should help make a child more open about stuttering.
