Hi Voon, Thanks for the reply. Yes, I know what you are saying. I was in Perth in 2004 for the ISA/World Congress and did the workshop AVOID AVOIDING and did some speaking in front of the whole congress. Some person who stutters came to me later and said, "You are certainly rattling some cages here ! " When I moved from the Chicago area to Tucson, AZ about 10 years ago, I came into contact with many PWS that used that phrase about "practice". AZ/CA SLPs had been trained by people from Australia. Now the thinking has moderated mainly from the influence of the National Stuttering Association. SLP life for me has become easier ! J-J-Judith
