Hi Ken, Thank you for replying. Yes, you are so correct. Acceptance of stuttering is an on going happening along with the idea that stuttering "waxes and wanes" for reasons beyond our control. I know a lot of people who stutter who are blond, blue eyed, and very allergic plus medically and temperamently very sensitive. If something disturbs their feeling of being centered and in control, the stuttering will appear and bite you. How we handle that "bite" is most important. If we flip back into "avoidance behaviors" and chase the "fluency god", we are in trouble. We as PWS need to always try to figure out why our stuttering is increasing more than usual. Can we change that and try to get more centered again ? Fluency does return for a while until it leaves again. J-J-Judith
