Ari, Hey...sorry it took so long to answer. I was out of town with my wife. When I mention focusing on what works, I am talking about focusing on those times when the you don't stutter (or stutter less). I am suggesting that if you explore these "exceptions" you can realize that YOU are DOING SOMETHING that is responsible for this change. This is not my own thoughts. This comes straight from Solution Focused Brief Therapy. Does that help?
