Thanks for these great ideas, Diane. As a graduate student clinician, I help lead a social skills group that includes two 3rd grade boys: one who stutters, and one who has cognitive and articulation impairments. Both are working on rate of speech. The teacher I work with does cooking activities with them every 2-3 weeks, and this is a natural environment for the boys to practice. I bring this up as a positive example of 'mixed' groups, and as a question about cooking groups. Have you tried cooking groups for social skills? If you know of any research on this, I would greatly appreciate any leads! Thanks, Cortney
