I really like the ideas you presented Diane! We run a group here at START for 7-10 year old and I will incorporate some of these in next years group. It is important to focus on overall communication and sometimes we forget this when we work purely on fluency shaping/stuttering modification. Do you also talk about the importance of social skills when discussing therapy with parents?
