Absolutely....the parents are often most concerned about the impact of stuttering on social interactions...so working on social skills also addresses the parents' concerns. I do feel that students who stutter benefit from individual "practice" of these activities...before becoming comfortable with transfer. All of the steps towards improving social skills are a process..it just takes time.
