HI Marc, Thank you for your comments. Most definitely....the folks I have worked with often experience frustration when their "tools" aren't working for them and they are having a difficult time communicating. And frustration leads to more frustration and can perpetuate the cycle of stuttering. However, like us golfers, when we have a bad hole....we try to shake it off and say to ourselves..."Ok, bad hole, let's start all over with the next hole." We try to go back to basics...check our swing...tempo, muscle tension, etc....and often we are able to self correct. Some days, we are just having a lousy day on the golf course. I believe the same holds true for PWS....we are all impacted by situations, people, stress, etc. I think being aware that these can affect the speech of the PWS and our own motor performance on the golf course is what helps us make changes and improvements. Most assuredly, how we feel about and think about ourselves as communicators and/or golfers has a major impact on our performance. elise
