This is all great advice. In my early days of teaching, giving conference talks, etc., I tended to obsess about stuttering at the expense of preparing for the presentation. People would MUCH rather hear an enthusiastic speaker who knows their topic and has thoroughly practice (but who happens to stutter) than a totally fluent speaker who is boring or underprepared. I found it helpful to videotape myself speaking: the disfluencies weren't nearly as notable as I thought, but stuff like body language, enthusiasm, and a clear presentation matter a ton.
